My handmade ceramic Christmas street scene would make a lovely addition to the home for the festive season, or a great gift for anyone who loves and appreciates the handmade process.
Each scene is handpressed out of white earthenware clay, left to harden, then each individual window is cut out by hand. Once leather hard I attach each scene to a flat peice of clay for the tealights to stand on.
The street scene creates a lovely warm glow when the tealights are lit. The base is large enough to take upto 3 tealights.
The glazes used create a magical white glitter effect and I use a special glaze on the roof that when fired gives the appearance of snow.

14 cm x 9.5 cm (at highest point)
Base width: 5.5 cm (ish) Due to the firing process, dimensions are a rough guide as each piece will shrink slightly so may differ alittle to the one in the listing.

Handmade in my studio. No matter how big or small the ceramic item, each piece is hand-pressed by myself, dried, fired, glazed with 3 coats of glaze and fired again.
Each piece is handmade so there will be slight variations in the form, colours, texture, pattern and marks left by the handmade process. This is what makes each piece unique, gives character and makes it individual.
