A must for every kitchen, a unique handmade ceramic spoon rest decorated with bright quirky flowers. A great gift idea for anyone who loves and appreciates the handmade process and loves items that you can't find on the hight street.
The spoon rests are made by rolling out the clay, cutting out the shape by hand, handpressing the shape of each flower, and then wedging bits of dry clay to create the curved lip to keep the cooking utensil in place. These are then left to dry before their first firing. Once fired each flowers is hand glazed before a dip in translucent glaze and a second firing to make them shiny and food safe.
Please note that as the spoon rests are handmade there will be slight variations in the form, texture, pattern and marks left by the handmade process. This is what makes each piece unique, gives character and makes it individual.
I would advise that if the spoon rests need a wash this is done by hand in warm soapy water and NOT placed in a dishwasher.
